Kili Day Trips Hikes

After breakfast at your accommodation in Arusha/Moshi, starting a journey to Marangu gate (1 hour from Moshi, 3 hours from Arusha). Arriving at the gate, your guide will finish some formalities at the parks’ office, and then you will start the hike.

Hiking through thick rainforest, you will gain an altitude of around 1,000m/3,280ft. Along the way, we may be able to spot some Colobus Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, and different species of birds. You will reach up to Mandara Huts, and there you will have lunch (lunch box). After lunch, we will continue ascending up to the beautiful Maundi Crater. From that point you will start to descend back to the park gate, our car will be waiting for you at the gate to bring you back to your accommodation.

The hike takes 6-8 hours to ascend and to descend back, and we recommend hiking with high hiking boots and to take raincoats, since we are passing rainforest with a high probability of rain at any time.
